Army Life Part 2

Getting used to 'what the fuck'
Army food's beginning to suck.
Always having to avoid the truck,
Guess it's just our stupid luck.
Rainy weathers are a delight,
They put the officers in a plight,
Giving us more admin time in the night.
Learning drills are a bore,
They surely make our poor feet sore.
Under that freaking scorching sun,
Sweating isn't really much fun.
Handling the m16's a chore,
With tons of technical stuff galore.
Treating ur rifle like ur wife,
Spoiling it will cost ur life.
Everything has a time limit,
When time's up it sends us into a fit.
If we're late we make sergeant angry,
And punishment makes us even more hungry.
The 4 and 6km road marches suck,
On completion i will look like muck.
Carrying 10kg while walking aint easy,
My god, does it make u feel quite queasy!
Training everyday will improve our physical,
If only the trainings weren't so typical.
Routine like warmups are damn boring,
They always make me feel like snoring.
Lights always out at 10.30 sharp,
Cannot sleep also must not harp.
Bunk checks will soon get nasty,
But so far they are still treating us kindly.
Rushing about is really a chore,
Wasting time is no doubt a bore-
ESPECIALLY when most of the things u've learnt before.
Sometimes u just wanna curse and swear,
But heng u got ur buddy right there.
Standard obstacle course is chicken
Except the 4 metre high narrow wooden
Plank, that left me very much shaken.
I've become the chin-up IC,
In the end kenna blister for free.
Everyday waking at 5.30am,
Boring routine really makes me shout 'damn!'
Time crawls by when u want it to pass
Hope such monotony will not last.
Who knows what the field camp will bring,
7 solid days without bathing;
And eating only food rations for nothing!
Gosh i hope i wont have to sleep in a trench,
Dug out in the ground with a horrible stench.
Pray it doesnt rain that bad,
Else I'll be a very sad lad.
Life is getting better and more adjustable,
Especially with friends right by your side.
And though it may not be very comfortable,
Im sure in them I can confide.
Training no doubt will get tougher,
And the journey ever more rougher.
But one thing i will not forget-
That is never never never to fret!
And one last thing to profess
All my friends out there, I miss u yes!
