life...inspiration..
*stretches* ... i just woke up from a long nap... and am feeling rather refreshed, with new inspiration to blog! Its after the promos, and the initial whoopie and bouncing about has almost worn away... now all thats left is boredom. Sitting in front of your com the whole day just leads you to question your presence in life and its intended course - what are we here for, what is our purpose? I go to school solely to see my friends and be with them, friends are what keep me alive and draw me to this lovely school! But aside from that, something seems amiss as i wander in the school, staring into blankness and wondering what life will bring next. Inspiration... to do what? I just read a friend's blog, and i cant help but think about 'the desire to win'
Our life is about constantly improving ourself, be it academic or social excellence. Competition is an essential tool, and some people get that thrill out of beating a worthy opponent and winning :) But some take it to the extent that it affects their life when they lack such a desireable feeling. Well in response to this, i feel that we should compete only when necessary, other than that, we should run together alongside our friends, never overtaking them, always by their side, just like how we run together in 2.4 Friends are what keep you alive, and without friends, you might not even get a feeling of competition, so yea we should all be competitive, but in a healthy way, and take it in a positive light that 'at least ur having fun with ur dear friends :)
Dramatisation of life... emotionally sensitive people tend to dramatise their feelings, meaning exaggerate it such that it affects their mental health, and they are over cautious or sensitive to certain issues. I think we should all live our lives happily, and try to be content with what we have right now. lets say we haf an injury, we should think positive that it will be healed soon, and not be sad over how we might lose ability to walk. Psychologically, if we keep on thinking that way, it might really come true as we're in a constant state of depression - so why put urself in such misery, when we can just think happy thoughts all the time? Sometimes we imagine things, and let the 'green-eyed monster' take control of things. Jealousy can mould vision into a distorted one, and it can make us someone we're not. 'a horned man's a monster and a beast' It can induce feelings of hatred, loss, and helplessness, leading to possesiveness, transforming u into someone so scary that u cannot recognise urself. I think this is all up to the individual... everyone is different and unique, and jealousy is just part of this unique feature. But we should not let it distort our vision and over imagine things that are not actually happening. Such feelings of loss and jealousy can eventually lead to, worse come to worst, insanity.
A fren quoted:
dun leave me hanging on a thread, either cut me loose or pull me up. This is really thought provoking.. and it involves the thought about friendship - in this case i would always pull my friend up. Sometimes people do things without knowing they hurt you, and sometimes we just gotta learn to accept that, and stomach it. I dont think people really mean it when they hurt you... probably just their character. And as long as u noe someone, even if its an acquaintance, there will always be care for that person no matter what. U will not die unnoticed; when u come into this world ur crying and everyone is smiling - as long as there are friends by ur side, u will leave this place smiling, with everyone else crying. Friends are not easy to come by, and i believe everyone cherishes friendship too :) Some choose not to express their feelings, some choose to write them out, but its all the same, we all care for our friends. Sigh... its getting rather borin nowadays with PW the bore of the century. Anyway, that aside, 34/04 still rox man... its one funky class yea. :)
